Electronic devices currently have many ports, which comes from the Thunderbolt port, which is one of the families of connecting peripheral devices to the computer via an expansion carrier, and was developed by Intel to the market in technical cooperation with Apple, and commercially presented for the first time on the Apple lineup MacBook Pro updated in February 2011, using the same Mini DisplayPort port.

 

- Thunderbolt port:

Although initially registered with Apple, Thunderbolt's full trademark rights are owned by Intel, and later the recording has been transferred, which is a hybrid port between the USB data and power transfer port and the HDMI carrier that can be considered as the first comprehensive ports for the computer, The third version of the Thunderbolt port comes in the form of a USB Type-C port, which is four times faster than the first version and ten times faster than USB 3.


- On the security level:

This port provides a very low level of connection to the system, as it uses the "PCI Express" port, which is the main expansion bus in the current systems, and on the other side, the Thunderbolt port allows users to connect to the screen via the DisplayPort connection, as well as the system connections VGA, DVI, HDMI, and other interfaces.
